Zoroastrianism mythology 2.

It is accepted to count, that in the period the unities of the Indians and the Iranians, given peoples esteemed a class of supernatural essences into which entered as characters under the general name "Deva" - "shining", and images called "Asura" - "having vital force" (the last are allocated special magical force), and some are simultaneously both "Deva", and "Asura" - is similar Varuna and Mitra. Such situation is fixed in "Rigveda". When there was a delimitation Indians and Iranians (that, probably, was not peace), the Indian inhabitants of heaven have kept the name "deva" while "asura" henceforth called demonic opponents of gods (However, some early representations - for example were kept, was considered, that killed asuras leave in Varuna's empire). In Iran there was a return process though and more slowly and has found the maximum expression in radical religious reform Zaratustra. Asura (is more exact, Ahura) were declared by good essences, assistants to creator Ahuramazda (in this god G. Dumezil, not without justification, sees the amplified parallel Indian Varuna - see. Dumezil, 1986). Divs appeared in a role of demons, and in number of the last have got and Indian God of Thunder Indra and twins Nasatja (Asvinau). Dumezil explains this collision proceeding from the three-functional theory: the god - magician Varuna, was venerated by Zaratustra as priest (but the Twins patronising peasants and, it is especially Indra patronising aristocracy are alien for him). Nevertheless, on surburbs of Iran reverence of the divs proceeded.

We can carry out analogy to a plot from Persian epos 'Shahname'. Faridoon, the founder of a legendary dynasty of the Iranian tsars, has received authority, having killed three-headed Zahhak. Having grown old, he has divided an empire - actually the world, between his three sons. Salm have got Rum and the West, Tura - Chine and Turan. Younger Irag has received the best share - Iran and Arabistan. Then the major brothers with envy have killed him (an ideological substantiation of enmity of Iran and Turan).

Here is pertinent to remind, that Middle Persian 'Faridoon' in more ancient Avesta traditions sounded as 'Traetaona'. And in the first Herodot versions of a genealogic legend a primogenitor of the Scythians were Targitay. Besides, Greeks could deform a pronunciation of a Scythian name which in the original was probable more similar on 'Traetaona'.

Otherthrow of Aji-dahaka. (A. Fantalov. 2000).

Aji-dahaka - threeheaded serpent, who ruled world during millennium and did great harm. Hero Traetaona (Faridoon) overthrew and chains him in mouth of a volcano. In future monster will tear oneself and will be killed finally. (The character of Aji-dahaka resembles Loki of Scandinavian mythology and Antichrist of Apocalypse). As for Traetaona, he belongs to wide spread type of divinity hero, as well as: Trita, who killed threeheaded dragon Visvarupa of Indian mythology; Heracle, who win three-bodied giant Geryon and threeheaded dog Cerber ; Ivan Trety (Third) of Russian tales, who killed Zmey Gorynich - Serpent burning (this name is in agreement with Aji-dahaka' one). A radiant ram above means holy symbol in Zoroastrianism mythology.
